Jo Dacombe and Saintly Amok invite you to immerse yourself in a contemplative experience exploring the energy theme.  They will lead you on a meditative journey that allows you to surround yourself with energies of hibernation, restoration, and germination. Their performance is inspired by the seasonal rhythms of this time of year, when longer nights offer us more time for rest, healing, and dreaming.

Saintly Amok is an artist who creates live and participatory art with the aim of reconnecting people to nature. She takes inspiration from her Gujarati heritage and her experience of growing vegetables on her family allotment.  Jo Dacombe is an artist and editor of Imminent, a zine that showcases creative responses to environmental issues. The zine is printed using a printer that runs on renewable resources, and vegetable inks are used on recycled paper.

Saintly Amok, also known as Mita Solanky, is a member of LSA.  Her ‘Emerge’ and ‘Release’ prints from the Garden Mud(ras) collection are currently displayed in the members’ exhibition at Leicester Print Workshop.  Copies of the zine will also be available for purchase on the night.

The performance will start promptly at 6:30pm and finish around 7:30pm with a warming drink afterwards. Please wear warm and comfortable clothing, the audience will be encouraged to be seated on the floor, with chairs and cushions and blankets provided.

Admission Free.
